Engr Ahmed Jamal Khan Chowdhuri has 48 years of successful professional experience, which also includes 30 years of technical expertise in the petroleum industry. He has gained extensive knowledge and leadership skills during his tenure in the petroleum sector.

Engr Chowdhuri has worked for Padma Oil Co. Ltd for almost 25 years and served the company in various areas including Aviation, Supply & Distribution, Marketing, Operations before taking over the role of Managing Director of the largest oil marketing company in Bangladesh. He also briefly lead LP Gas Limited and Jamuna Oil Co. Ltd as Chief Executive Officer. During early stages in his career, he worked for Ministry of Petroleum of the Govt. of Iraq.

He has an impressive educational background where he graduated as a Mechanical Engineer from Rajshahi Engineering College (now RUET) in 1974 and stood First. He served the Chittagong Engineering College (now CUET) as Lecturer/ Assistant Professor soon after his graduation. Later he was selected as an Academic Council Member of the Faculty of Engineering, Chittagong University of Engineering & Technology for a term in the year 2006.

Presently, he is a member of the board of directors of Padma Oil Co. Ltd as the Independent Director and Chairman of the Audit Committee since 2012.
