Ms. Syeeda Yeasmeen Meer is a renewable energy finance and procurement specialist with over 12 years of experience in project financing, competitive procurement, financial modeling, and policy advisory in the power and renewable energy sector of Bangladesh.

She holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Finance and a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Finance from the University of Dhaka.

She has served in senior leadership roles with internationally recognized organizations, including Tetra Tech and Infrastructure Development Company Limited.

As Director of Energy Procurement and Project Finance at Tetra Tech under a United States Agency for International Development-funded technical assistance program, she led policy and regulatory initiatives to support renewable energy procurement in Bangladesh. Her work included developing frameworks for competitive procurement, corporate power purchase agreements (CPPAs), model project agreements, tariff analysis, and risk mitigation instruments.

During her tenure at IDCOL, she played a key role in financing and appraising a wide range of renewable energy projects, including solar mini-grids, solar irrigation pumps, rooftop solar systems, and utility-scale solar projects. She led multidisciplinary teams, developed bankable financial models, and ensured successful financial closure and implementation of renewable energy investments.

Her professional expertise includes renewable energy project financing, financial structuring, risk assessment and mitigation, due diligence, stakeholder engagement, and capacity building. She has worked extensively with development partners such as the World Bank, KfW, Japan International Cooperation Agency, and Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office, as well as with government agencies including the Power Division, Bangladesh Power Development Board, Bangladesh Bank, and Sustainable and Renewable Energy Development Authority.

Ms. Meer is widely recognized for her contributions to advancing renewable energy financing and procurement mechanisms in Bangladesh, particularly in the development of Corporate Power Purchase Agreements and innovative business models for clean energy adoption. She has also delivered training and advisory support to banks, financial institutions, utilities, and private sector stakeholders to accelerate investment in renewable energy.

She is currently associated with MnM Power Solutions Ltd. as a renewable energy finance and procurement expert, providing strategic advisory support on project financing, financial modeling, procurement strategy, and policy development for energy sector projects.
